DALIAN. Chinese market players provided current estimates for the 2021/22 export season, which are quite respectable. Meanwhile, the market continues to be very quiet, while the new crop is developing well.

Speculators offer goods

The season is coming to an end, which is why the pumpkin seed market has been extremely quiet for several weeks and hardly any deals are being made. Even the speculators are now offering parts of their shine skin raw materials for sale, but still at high prices of CNY 19.6/kg - they are apparently not willing to sell their goods at a lower price despite the low demand. Hopes remain that buying interest in both the domestic and export markets may pick up in the coming weeks. However, market players report that demand is above average
