DALIAN. Buyers in the Chinese pumpkin seed market are currently holding back, partly because there is still some uncertainty regarding the new crop. EU-quality kernels are in very short supply, which is also having an impact on exports.

Market players are adopting a wait-and-see approach

The market for pumpkin seeds is currently calm and largely stable overall. Trade is primarily characterised by short-term demand fulfilment and smaller deals, whilst many market players on both the buyer and seller sides continue to adopt a wait-and-see approach. Available volumes are increasingly concentrated among traders, who are offering their goods only sparingly.
