DALIAN. Pumpkin seeds continue to prove an absolute disaster for all parties involved in China. There virtually are no buyers around. The situation may, however, change.

Patience is required

The warehouses are well stocked and Chinese traders are having great difficulty getting rid of their seeds. Exporters are still searching for buyers – in vain. Now, even farmers are feeling the squeeze and there is a good chance that they will cultivate fewer pumpkins. Corn and pulses have become more attractive. Some traders are, however, sceptical and recommend waiting to see in how far acreage will actually drop.

Attractive offers withdrawn

Cheap offers have been withdrawn from the market.
