MALAYER. Exports from Malayer have surged by 21% between April and December 2019. However, the recent political tensions between Iran and the US may spell an end to this success story.

 

Revenues rise by 27%

Malayer has exported more than 14,000 metric tonnes of sultanas and green and golden raisins between April and December 2019, which is a hike of 21% over 2018. The rise is attributed to favourable weather conditions, which sparked an increase in production and promoted quality.
