NEW DELHI/KHARTOUM. India's sesame seed cultivation is said to have expanded massively this year. Details of the much-awaited tender from South Korea have finally been officially announced, with the bidding taking place at the turn of the month.

South Korea to buy 8,100 mt of sesame seeds

In the middle of this week, the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation published its new sesame seed tender. The evaluation of the bids is set for 1 August. A total of 8,100 mt of sesame seeds is requested, divided into three positions and a delivery period from mid-October to mid-November. After initial respect for the international competition, Indian sesame seed exporters now expect much better chances due to the requirements and unfavourable crop developments in Pakistan.
