NEW DELHI. The next tender for sesame seed shipments to South Korea will take place next week. Indian exporters are still branded from their setback during the last tender.

7,500 mt of sesame seeds by the end of June

The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation published a new tender this week. A total of 7,500 mt of sesame seeds is to be purchased via this tender. Registrations can be made from 11 April and bids will be evaluated the following day. The shipments must arrive at the port of Busan by 28 June 2024.

Indian exporters are cautious; suppliers had thought they had a good chance in the last tender, but in the end barely managed to win a total of 1,000 mt of sesame seed shipments.
