Sesame seeds: new tender to be announced this week

NEW DELHI. The new sesame seed tender from South Korea is expected soon and Indian exporters hope for good chances in participating. There was little trading activity in individual regions due to heavy rains.

India hopes for 50% participation

South Korea had bought less sesame seeds in the course of the last tender than originally announced. This gap is now to be filled. Market players expect the tender to be officially announced this week. The tender should cover about 3,000 mt, which corresponds to the quantity that was not purchased in the previous tender. Indian exporters are confident of winning 50% of the tender despite the still high prices.
