Soyabeans: New arrival started which will make effect on the market

Estimates of decrease of soybean yields

The concern of farmers in Madhya Pradesh can be increased. Actually this year the state has received very little rains. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainfall has received about 25 percent less rainfall this year. Out of 51 districts, 31 districts have received less than normal rainfall. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy loss due to soybean crops being sown mainly. Industry body SOMA has given an estimate of soybean production will reduce about 17 per cent in the country this year. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government has also joined the survey.

The state agriculture cabinet meeting was also held this week on Monday. In which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has ordered officials to prepare the necessary schemes to deal with the situation. Let us tell you that the month of September is very important for soybean and the arrival of new crop starts from the end of this month.

Meanwhile, looking at the prices, the price of soyabean in futures has jumped nearly 1 percent. Even in the global market, it is trading on the edge. CBot has seen the biggest weekly increase this week in the last 2 months. Meanwhile, food oils have also risen, and the domestic price of soya and palm oil has climbed almost 0.5 percent.

Arrival of New crop of Soyabean started in Madhya Pradesh

Indore: In Madhya Pradesh, this season's new soybean has started and arrival also started. In the Indore mandi, the new soybean business was traded yesterday. Seed's quality is satisfactory but its size is small. Indore Traders Association President says that about 25-30 sacks of new soyabean arrived and it sold between US$ 562 to 575 per mt. However, the old soybean sold for US$525 per mt.

Businessmen say that the amount of moisture in new soybean is 20-25% whereas the correct moisture is 10-12%. In addition to Indore, new soybean arrived in Mandsaur, Neemuch, Dhar, Jawra, Mahu and Khandwa mandis. Soybean productivity is weak because of less rainfall than normal in the state.

Sowing of soyabean in Madhya Pradesh was 5.01 million hectare this year, which was 5.36 million hectare last year. Soybean sowing has reduced by seven percent this year. Farmers of the state turned towards crops which give more returns like cotton. During the year 2017-18 (October-September), the production of soybean is expected to fall by 5 percent to 0.96 million tonnes in the country.
