MANISA. Above-average temperatures at the weekend led to an early start to flowering in parts of Manisa. In general, however, the Turkish sultana market is showing little movement.

Early flowering

Contrary to expectations, temperatures in the Turkish region of Manisa rose slightly last weekend. The unusually warm weather for this time of year meant that some trees and vines in parts of Sarıgöl began to blossom early. The coming days are expected to remain warmer than average at 15-17°C, with occasional rain showers.
