MANISA/DALIAN. Rainfall is eagerly awaited in Turkey to ensure that the growing regions are supplied with the necessary moisture in autumn. Buyers are particularly interested in Chinese sultanas this year.

Grape harvest still ongoing

Turkey has hardly seen any rain in the last two months and November could also be relatively dry. According to market players, however, the moisture is urgently needed. Temperatures are typical for this time of year and are around 20°C during the day, with plenty of sunshine.

In the Sarıgöl region, where Sultanina grapes are grown, farmers are still busy harvesting the table grapes. This work should be completed by the end of November, while the vines that have already been harvested are already being pruned and prepared
