MANISA/BRUSSELS. A lack of carry-over stocks and lower yields ensure high sultana prices in Turkey. Buyers prefer alternative origins, which has been reflected in EU imports in recent months.

Favourable weather conditions

The rainy period in Manisa provides favourable conditions for the coming year. Soils and plants in the Turkish province are supplied with sufficient water and further rainfall is expected in the coming days. Daytime temperatures are currently a moderate 13-17°C.
