MANISA/TEHRAN. The Turkish sultana market shows little movement and some traders will be present at the BIOFACH fair this week. Meanwhile, exports and prices of Iranian raisins continue to decline.

Little market activity

More than a week after the severe earthquake in the Turkish-Syrian border region around the province of Kahramanmaraş, recovery efforts are still in full swing, supported by rescue workers from all over the world. It is still unclear how many people lost their lives in this disaster of the century. More than 150,000 people have been evacuated to neighbouring provinces so far, while the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change assessed building damage in the earthquake-affected provinces.
