MANISA. Market players will have to wait until the end of May before the full extent of the damage caused by the frost nights in mid-April can be determined. Exporters are therefore still hesitant to make offers.

Sultana acreages hit harder

Around three weeks after the agricultural frost disaster in Turkey, damage assessments have still not been completed; insurance agents and teams from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry are still preparing their reports. In the coming days, the growing areas in Manisa are expected to get cooler temperatures again, and local rain showers are also expected. However, further damage to the vines is not expected for the time being.
