Sultanas: The later the delivery, the higher the prices

MANISA. After the TMO announced the official commodity level for this year's sultana production, Taris followed suit.

Although the latter no longer has much influence on market activities, the prices of the farmer's association are still significant for the producers. Both Taris and the TMO set the level for Type 7 to Type 10 at 3.90-4.30 TRY/kg. The farmers consider the prices to be set too low, but because of the good availability, it will be difficult to establish a higher level without causing an increase in export prices.
