MANISA. The marked production decline in Turkey is expected to lead to rising prices on exports in the coming weeks. Export prices already started off 16% above last year's level in the first week of the new season.

Export figures above last year's level
In contrast to dried figs and apricots, the export prices for Turkish sultanas are well above last year's level (+15.8%). And this despite the weak lira. Although the new season started off with significantly higher exports (+74.1%), %), it should also be noted that last year’s Eid al-Adha slowed down shipments in September.
