Sultanas: What will happen in 2018?

MANISA. Although dried fruit suppliers in Turkey managed to earn a similar amount with exports since the beginning of the season as in the same period in 2015/16, the actual export volume increased by 40%.

 

Decrease in value

Dried fruit exporters in Turkey have shipped more than 95,300 mt of sultanas valued at 144 M USD since September – 10% less than in 2016. In December 2016 they had already shipped more than 100,000 mt valued at 161 M USD. Contrary to this, only 68,313 mt of sultanas were shipped in the first three and a half months of 2015/16, but a value of 145 M mt was achieved.
