FRANKFURT. Sultanas find access into our daily menu in many ways. Whether they are in our cereal in the morning, a pastry with our coffee, or a trail mix as a snack.
Sultanas, more commonly known as raisins, are contained in many foods and either eaten out-of-hand, or in processed foods. About half of the sultana production worldwide is processed into baked goods and baking mixes. What is left over is dedicated to the snack and sweets industry, if the remainder should not be just feed quality.
