Too warm and too dry

What was still an advantage during the drying period is increasingly becoming a problem for Turkish sultana farmers. There has been hardly any rainfall in late summer and autumn, and temperatures have been above average for the second week in a row, reaching up to 25°C. The Turkish weather service had forecast rain, but the cloudy days remained dry. The water level in the reservoirs is alarmingly low and Turkey urgently needs rain.
