MANISA. Growers are still holding back their supplies. If they continue to do so over the holidays next week, this will have an impact on export prices. This season's exports are well behind those of last year.

Table grapes form fruit sets

The Turkish province of Manisa is the most important region for sultana production in Turkey. At the same time, the majority of seedless table grapes are also grown in the Sarıgöl district there, especially the Sultanina grape variety. According to reports, the flowering period here is now complete and fruit sets are forming. Growers are said to be making a special effort to look after their fields this year.
