Sultanas: Raw sultanas again more expensive

MANISA. Turkish sultana exporters are still delivering produce out of crop 2015 abroad until the end of the year.

Contracts with North American buyers, for instance, frequently run for a calendar year instead of a fiscal year.

 

Buyers are taking the opportunity
Raw sultana prices for Turkish sultanas, type 9, increased to 3.20-3.50 TRY/kg this week. Export prices, however, did not increase because of that, on the contrary. Some traders were even able to lower their prices again slightly. The price level for sultanas, type 10, as well as organic produce, is stable.
