MANISA. Competitors are left speechless. Prices in Turkey are simply irresistible. The situation is set to get worse.

Irresistible prices
Turkey has already exported 138,000 mt this season. With prices being almost 560 USD/mt cheaper than last year it is basically impossible for buyers to resist offers.

Turkey’s success is set to continue
With traders in Turkey reporting an increase in demand over the last few days this trend is set to continue. Even is the export prices have climbed slightly. Individual offers vary considerably in price since some suppliers are trying to sell the stocks they have been holding for a long time. It should, however, be noted that the prices for type 10 sultanas have increased considerably since supplies are limited. The raw sultana prices have dropped slightly. In addition, the weather forecast could hardly be better. Although temperatures are currently still dropping below freezing in Manisa, they are expected to rise next week.
