MANISA. High interest rates are making it more difficult for exporters in Turkey to take out loans to buy raw materials. Overseas buyers are urged to prepare for further price increases.

60,000 mt are missing

The high export rate over last year is shrinking from week to week. Turkey has so far shipped 87,693 mt, which is 4% more than last year. This figure is rather surprising considering that this season’s supplies are approximately 50,000-60,000 mt smaller than in 2017/18.
