Sunflower seeds: EU has doubled imports

SOFIA/DALIAN. The EU has more than doubled its sunflower seed imports for the 2022/2023 season. At the same time, the EU crop forecast was recently revised upwards again.

Bulgarian sunflower seed traders are confident about the development of the crop. The mix of sun and rain is ideal for the plants to thrive. Nevertheless, it is too early to rely on high-yield production, as the coming weeks are crucial and a prolonged dry spell with high temperatures could quickly turn the tide.
