Sunflower seeds: exports remain difficult

SOFIA/KYIV. Despite the prevailing situation, efforts by Ukrainian exporters and processors are strong as they want to maintain overseas shipments of products such as sunflower seed oil.

Polish-Ukrainian border as an opportunity

Exports via the ports are currently not possible, but sporadic deliveries can be made to the EU via the Ukrainian-Polish border in the west of the country. As UkrAgroConsult reports, 300,000 mt of corn were transported this way last week. This is also the only way for sunflower oil shipments to the EU.
