SOFIA. Bulgarian sunflower seed prices react to the collapse of the oil market. Factories take first steps to curb Covid-19.

Prices collapse

Official quotations in the Bulgarian sunflower seed market are feeling the pressure from the oil markets. The prices for black in-shells with a 96% purity have now declined to EUR 322 per metric tonne CPT Varna. The trade, however, states that there are still offers at a level of EUR 360 per metric tonne. With the exception of a few short-term coverage purchases, there are currently only few enquiries for bakery kernels. The market is at a standstill and price negotiations for both old and new crops have been put on hold. Bak
