ASTANA/DALIAN. Farmers in Kazakhstan have asked their government to lift the export tariffs for sunflower seeds and for more support. Arrivals have picked up in China, which is impacting prices.

Subdued market in Bulgaria

Trading is still largely subdued in Bulgaria. Local traders are very much disappointed with the current demand situation. Yet, prices are remarkably firm. Main driver is the import ban for Urkainian sunflower seeds, which is preventing large volumes from arriving. Many farmers are also holding back in the hope that prices will rise in the next few weeks. Bakery kernels are trading firm.
