SOFIA/WASHINGTON D.C. In the USDA's report "Oilseeds: World Markets and Trade", which was published last week, the experts stick to their previous crop forecasts for the 2021/2022 sunflower seed season. However, prices have still not declined.

More than 57 million mt of sunflower seeds worldwide

At the end of last week, the US Department of Agriculture published its latest oilseed report. In this report, global sunflower seed production in 2021/2022 is still estimated at 57.26 million mt, which would not only be an increase of 8.06 million mt or 16.4% over last year, but also the highest result ever. Moreover, the latter applies not only to the total quantity, but also to the most important growing countries or regions such as Ukraine, Russia and the EU.
