BUDAPEST/FRANKFURT. The US crop and the conflict between China and the US have left their mark on the international market. Meanwhile, the pressure on Eastern Europe is growing.

Hungary loses market shares

Only a few years ago, Hungary was an important player in Europe. Due to the rise in production in California and the Ukraine it is, however, becoming increasingly difficult for local producers to hold their own in the market. Moldova and Romania are also strong competitors.
