The high quality crop this year keeps the domestic demand strong, as well. Remaining stocks by the end of last week stood at 4,282,145 mt.

Price developments

There are no mixed feelings regarding short-term price developments on the market. Local export parties have always been sensitive to market developments in the Black sea basin, and exports are growing exactly because of competitive prices, which on a year-to-year basis are still higher, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. Regional wheat availability has already grown, which will further influence local prices. Unless quality issues arise in the biggest regional exporters of wheat, local sellers could not hope for sustained price increases.
