MADRID. Spanish almond exporters perceive the trade war between China and the US as an opportunity to win over the Asian market.

Nothing is impossible
Almonds are a popular lifestyle snack in China and almond milk is also consumed with pleasure. Thus, the punitive tariffs on US almonds are a particularly hard hit for the Chinese food industry and alternatives are required. The logical consequence would be the expansion of commercial relations with Australia, the world's second largest almond producer. But also Spanish exporters want a slice of the action and try to convince the Chinese importers with high quality goods.
