CHRUDIM/BUDAPEST. In the Czech Republic, trading activity in the blue poppy seed market is picking up and, according to market players, exports are said have been good in December 2021. Hungary's poppy seed crop is now sold out.

Transport problems cannot be ruled out

In the Czech blue poppy seed market, prices are at a similar level to last week and market players report growing demand. According to the experts at Chelmer Foods, not only November but also December was a particularly strong month for exports. Official data for the last month of the past calendar year should be available soon. More and more cleaning companies have resumed work and are preparing for the upcoming orders.
