Dried apricots: no buying activities

MALATYA. Buyers are holding back for dried apricots. Turkey’s exports have declined sharply in the first month of the season.

Buyers fail to act

According to the Turkish meteorological institute temperatures will be high in Malatya this week again reaching 16-21C (61-70F) at night and 32-38C (90-100F) throughout the day. The market is extremely calm. Almost all companies, except those which have small orders, are closed. Buyers have not started purchasing yet. Expectation is that the market will remain very quiet this year with not much to report.

Although there are no trading activities, raw material prices are firm. Indicative prices for jumbo apricots stand at TRY 450/kg (USD 11
