MALATYA/REUS. The INC has published its first production estimates for the 2024/25 dried apricot season. Growers in Turkey are still very satisfied with current developments.

Good prospects cause prices to decline

Turkish apricot farmers are still very satisfied with the weather conditions. Rain and cooler temperatures created optimal conditions last week, and the prospects for this week are also very good with 8-11°C at night and 19-24°C during the day. If these conditions continue until the end of the harvest, they can expect not only a large but also a high-quality crop. Although there could still be some hailstorms in May, these should no longer cause any major damage.

This outlook continues to put pressure on prices.
