AYDIN. Yield estimates for Turkish dried fig production in 2025 have been finalised. The harvest is expected to be completed in a few weeks. Stable weather is essential for the best possible results.

Mediterranean fruit fly causes problems at high altitudes

In the Turkish province of Aydin, the delegation responsible for estimating fig yields has announced its results. The predominantly hot and dry weather this summer caused some of the fruit to ripen prematurely, which is why there is likely to be a higher proportion of small figs this year.
