Extreme weather conditions paralyse trade

Exceptionally harsh winter conditions continue in Malatya, the central Turkish apricot-growing region. According to the Turkish Meteorological Service, further snowfall and very low temperatures are expected in the coming days. At night, temperatures drop to as low as -8°C, while during the day they rise to between 0 and 3°C. This situation has led to market activity coming to a virtual standstill.
