MALATYA. Although it is still too early for official forecasts, initial estimates for the 2026 apricot crop in Malatya are already emerging – and they are quite optimistic. Exports could also recover by then.

Initial crop estimates for 2026

The Turkish Meteorological Service has announced further snowfall in Malatya this week. Temperatures are expected to drop to between 0 and -7°C at night over the weekend, with daytime temperatures of 2 to 13°C. The market is currently calm, with exports proceeding at a moderate pace since the start of the season and prices remaining stable.
