MALATYA. The market for dried apricots is currently completely dominated by the flowering period, which determines the success of the new crop.

No price changes despite devaluation of TL

There is currently great uncertainty on the market, fuelled by the spread of the coronavirus and by deadly air attacks on Turkish soldiers in northern Syria. In addition, the Turkish Lira continues to lose value against the Euro (-4.5%) and the USD (-2%). Market players report that demand is steadily declining, but that exports are still proceeding normally and prices remain stable for the time being, although this could change soon.
