MALATYA. As farmgate prices continue to rise and the situation on the Turkish dried apricot market is extremely volatile, traders' offers continue to be quoted on a daily basis and are subject to final approval. This situation could last for a while.

Industrial goods become scarce

As in the past weeks, farmgate prices for Turkish dried apricots are continuously rising. Buyers are nevertheless placing more orders, but only for prompt shipments. Traders' offers continue to be quoted on a daily basis and are subject to final approval. Market players also report that availability, especially of industrial goods, is becoming scarce. At this stage, exporters expect farmgate price increases to continue for a while as traders realise that they can sell their apricots at such high prices.
