Dried apricots: Ramadan buying has begun

MALATYA. Although the market remains fairly quiet, the first buyers are starting to stock up on dried apricots for Ramadan. The weather conditions in Malatya are ideal for the apricot trees and exports are continuing at a rapid pace.

Slight price increases

Farmers in Turkey's apricot-growing regions in Malatya report that the weather conditions are currently excellent for the development of apricot trees, with plenty of snow, rain and cool temperatures. Night temperatures are between -2°C and 0°C, while daytime temperatures are between 7°C and 9°C.
