MALATYA. Although prices on the Turkish apricot market have remained stable compared to last week, they can vary significantly depending on the supplier. Due to the cold weather, fewer goods are reaching the markets, but exports are still going well.

Cold weather delays arrivals

The Turkish apricot market is relatively quiet at the moment. While temperatures in the most important growing region, Malatya, are around 8°C during the day, they drop to around -2°C at night. According to meteorologists, however, temperatures are expected to drop further towards the end of the week. Meanwhile, market players are reporting that fewer goods are reaching the markets due to the cold weather, although both commodity and export prices are holding steady at last week's level. Jumbo varieties are trading at TRY 140-150
