Dried apricots: Traders are in doubt

MALATYA. Turkish dried apricot distributors show some distrust towards the relatively positive developments for the new harvest so far. Only a few of them are willing to go down in price.

 

Opinions change with the weather

Farmgate prices for Turkish dried apricots have risen a bit in the course of the week. Jumbos are already trading at 21 TRY/kg and sizes no. 1 and no. 2 are offered at prices of 12–13 TRY/kg. Larger dried fruits are quite rare on the open market, which drove export prices up to 4,290–4,500 USD/mt. The prices for smaller dried fruits remained stable this week.
