Dried apricots: Lower yields expected

MALATYA. There are further delays in Turkish dry apricot production. However, this should not be the only problem with this year's harvest.

3 weeks delay expected

Market players reckon that the dried apricot season will be delayed by around three weeks in Turkey. Normally, the season officially starts on 01 August. Larger supplies will probably only be available on the market after the Festival of the Sacrifice (11th till 15th August). Therefore, the prices for dried apricots from the new crop remain valid for the time being. Some traders also reckon that prices will remain high throughout 2019/2020.
