Dried beans: new crops are reaching the markets

BEIJING. The new bean crops are gradually becoming available in China and are putting pressure on most prices; once again, mung beans are the exception here, as the smaller acreage is counteracting the price declines.

Black kidney beans

Chinese market players report that purchases and sales of the 2024 black kidney bean crop have now been completed. Traders and processors have reduced their inventories and are prepared for the arrival of the new crop. Commodity prices in the growing regions remain largely stable and there are virtually no transactions taking place. In some regions, isolated arrivals of the new crop are already appearing, especially in Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Jilin.
