Dried figs: exports start almost two weeks earlier

AYDIN. The official start date for the Turkish dried fig export season has been announced. In line with the rapidly developing crop, exports are expected to start earlier than last year. At the same time, TARİŞ has announced its bid prices for dried figs from the new crop.

Export start is fixed

In order for the fig crop to develop optimally, daytime temperatures should not exceed 40°C for long periods of time. Temperatures of 36-40°C have been forecast for the current week, which is still within reasonable limits. The warm and dry weather in recent weeks has meant that the fruits are ripening faster this year and dried fig production is starting much earlier.
