AYDIN. With preparations in full swing Turkey's export season for dried figs is about to start this week.

Exports still lag behind

Turkey shipped 70,096 mt of dried figs and related products overseas in 2021/2022, which is down on the 71,807 mt exported in 2020/2021. Weekly exports recently ranged at 1,217 mt and are nearly on par with last year's 1,125 mt.
