AYDIN. Adverse weather conditions have severely impacted drying in Turkey this year. Production is far worse than expected and raw material prices are surging for dried figs.

Extensive losses expected

This has prompted raw material prices to surge as high as TRY 150/160/kg this week. They may very well climb to TRY 200/kg and organic dried figs are already trading at TRY 220/kg. Whil
