AYDIN. High prices and little buying interest dominate the Turkish dried fig market. Experts do not expect prices to fall for the time being.

Turnover must not fall by the wayside

Apart from the already rather sluggish trading activity due to the high prices, the Turkish dried fig market has been particularly quiet in recent days, as many dried fig exporters visited the SIAL in Paris.

Market players continue to describe the situation as chaotic. This is particularly due to the inconsistent export prices, which can vary significantly depending on the supplier –  depending on how urgently they want to generate sales.
