Farmers in trouble due to monsoon:

Half of India is roasting sky. Heavy rains in Gujarat have kept chaos. Water is water all around. Rainfall in Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Saurashtra, North Gujarat has shown its radar form. The continuous rain since last one week has caused huge damage to crops in Gujarat. For the rain that year, the farmers are sitting around and the rain has become a problem for them. His hopes of a good crop are flowing in water like straws.

Rainfall in Gujarat is broken by the storm. The person has also suffered huge losses. So far 130 people have news of death. To save people in Ahmedabad city, relief and rescue boat is being run. Banaskantha district of Gujarat is most affected by the flood. Water is also flooded on farming so that crops have suffered heavy losses. Water is filled with streets and streets in the city of Banaskantha. The business has stopped due to flooding in many boards.

Traders have suffered a lot due to water intrusion in the APMC (markets/mandi) in North Gujarat and Saurashtra. It is feared that in Gujarat, only 0.5-0.6 million hectares are expected to be saved in sowing of 7.2 million hectares. Saurashtra, Banaskantha, North Gujarat this season is sowing of cotton, groundnut and guar, sesame. Cotton may be sown again in some areas, but the peanut and Guar crop are in danger of being completely separated. Here the state government is engaged in estimating the loss due to rain.

Agriculture Expert says that in the next 2-3 days, if rain water rises and deposited water from the fields, cotton sowing is possible again. But farmers of peanut and guar will have to sow the castor.

Filling of water in 25-30 boards of Saurashtra, North Gujarat has also damaged the stock of millions of dollars. Castor, millet and wheat lying in godowns/warehouses are rotting. The untimely rain has broken even on the farmers of Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

Crop may cause damages due to rain:

In some parts of the country, the dry seasonal conditions have threatened the transition of pests to whitefleas, which feed the plants. In view of this, Punjab and Maharashtra have asked cotton farmers to spray pesticides to avoid any possible attack of harmful pests. Despite abundant rainfall in most parts of the country, monsoon has been abnormal in some parts of Punjab and Maharashtra. For this reason the governments of these states have to take necessary steps to prevent pest attack.

Punjab Agriculture Commissioner Balwinder Singh Sidhu told Reuters that we are worried due to low rainfall in six districts of the state and for this reason we are contacting them for help of farmers in the fight against any potential pest attack. Sidhu said that the Punjab government will ensure that to avoid any infection, farmers should spread more of pesticides.

Since the grant of genetically modified varieties (GM) in 2002, India's cotton production has increased fourfold. In this way, India has become the world's largest cotton producer and second largest exporter of fiber. Almost the entire cotton produced in India has been growing with the seeds grown in the laboratory of Montsanto. According to the Cotton Association of India, India cultivates cotton in 1.1 - 1.2 million hectares. During the season beginning October, there is a possibility of harvesting 3.363 million bales (1 lump = 170 kg) in 2016-17. This is slightly lower than the previous year's 3.378 lump.

Though Punjab is not the main producer of cotton, Maharashtra is the second largest producer of cotton. While not expressing his name due to not being authorized to talk to the media, an official of the Ministry of Agriculture said that the state administration of Maharashtra, in relation to the crop pest infection in Vidarbha and Marathwada areas, will be fed by farmers for the next 8-10 days Has asked to be cautious. Whitefle insect attacked the crop in 2015 in Punjab and its neighboring state Haryana.
