LODZ. The Eastern European flaxseed market seems to be caught up by a wave of panic, while Russian raw flaxseed suppliers are rubbing their hands in anticipation.

According to reports, Polish processors are increasing purchases of raw flaxseed since they expect a price increase in the new year. In fact, potential prices of 310-315 EUR/mt FCA were under discussion during the last weeks. Whether or not this price level will establish itself remains to be seen, though. Most recently, raw flaxseed prices had once again stabilised.
