HANOI. Vietnamese cashew processors are waiting for about 100,000 mt of RCN from African countries, which are stuck in the ports.

This can lead to delays in delivery. Vietnam is the world's most important cashew nut exporter, and according to the Vietnam Cashew Association (VCA), an increase in exports to 360,000 mt is planned for this year. The export value could reach 3.3 billion USD. Compared to 2016, this would be an increase of 2.8%.

In the first four months of this year, the average export price for processed cashew nuts was 9,407 USD/mt (approx. 8,410 EUR/mt), an increase of 24% compared to the same period last year.
